I would like to buy for myself a truly good and extensive cookbook on fish and seafood. In addition to comprehensive text and reciped, it should also have a lot of photos (I don’t like cookbooks without photos :))
I checked on amazon, the selection is quite big. What would you recommend?

Can things on top of a microwave oven slow it down?

Our microwave seems to be sluggish for quite some time now, and ever since I can remember, a family member piles stuff on the microwave, keys and things like that, some things heavier than others. Would all that extra weight slow a microwave’s timing down so it seems to be cooking slower than usual?

Can you name really greasy sounding seafood?

Can a 3-cup rice cooker actually cook 3 cups of brown rice since brown rice takes more water? I’m trying to decide whether to buy a 3 cup rice cooker or 5.5 cup rice cooker. I only cook for myself but want to cook enough rice for the whole day in 1 go.
Ya, I eat 3 cups a day (9 cooked).

How do you use a rice cooker?

I have a new Rival rice cooker, and my boyfriend threw away the instructions before using it.
Do I add the same amount of water and rice that it states on the rice package? There are measurements on the inside of the bowl, but they seem to be inaccurate. Is this because I am supposed to add more water when using a rice cooker? And how do I know when it is done?
Any suggestions?
